New Jersey lawmakers are putting the full court press on when it comes to online gambling. Legislators are moving towards having the issue placed on the ballot in November.
A new survey that was released this week shows that a majority of New Jersey residents are in favor of expanded slot gambling at three racetracks, even while the casinos in Atlantic City are struggling.
The perception that Atlantic City casinos were on their way back took a major hit this week when revenue figures for May revealed another sharp drop from the same period in 2009.
June was a month when Atlantic City casinos could show their new competitors in Delaware and Pennsylvania that they are still the place for table game gambling, and the failed miserably. Revenue decreased by eleven percent.
